Pamporovo AD planning construction of a new gondola lift and a holiday village for BGN 100m. the company plans extension of the ski zone of the same name Rodopi resort in the district of Stoykite village. The main shareholder in Pamporovo AD is CSIF. The investment is for BGN 13m. the gondola lift facility is 2.9 km, its capacity is 2,000 persons per hour. The facility will serve two new runways for advanced and beginners – red and blue of total length of 7 km that will be completed for the winter ski season 2008/2009. about BGN 3,5m will be invested in leveling and landscaping of the new ski runways.
The plans are to link the zones of Pamporovo, Chepelare and Perelik into one scheme. CSIF plans a new holiday village in the zone of Stoykite, for this purpose has been purchased the land of 80,000sq. m. The construction works are to start in the end of September, the completion will take three stages within two and a half years. The total investment will exceed BGN 10m. Over BGN 10m have been invested in Pamporovo Ad in the last four years to imporove the ski and lift infrastructure. Currently the capacity of the facilities is 8,600 persons per hour.
